Sound Effects:
The sounds that are being used are very sudden and occur when you least expect it, sometimes there is bass within the sound effects and it gives the feeling that your heart is in your stomach. The voice-overs make the characters seem scared or their voices could be used to add the effect that they are approaching something life-threatening. when they are walking around the abandoned area the noises that are made by the floor such as the creaking and crawling noises that come from any insects or rodents that may be running around.
Music:
The music that is typically used in a horror are regularly daunting and make you jump. The type of music used in the background is very diegetic because it's in the background you don't necessarily hear it but you do once something begins to take place such as if there was a clown to be approaching you might hear creepy circus music. In this trailer, gathered that the music wasn't used to scare us but to make us more aware of what was happening in that current moment in time.
Dialogue:
The way they speak in this film is similar to the dialogue in Stranger Things. In the sense that the walkie talkies are used because the setting isn't old but its around those times where phones weren't really around and people had to use alternatives.
Sound Effects:
The sound effects that you can hear the most are gun sounds ,this includes the cocking back of the gun as well as being the shooting of the gun itself from various directions. To add to this, there are explosions in the background which adds tension but not as much as silence does.
Music:
In the background, the song 'Bad Boys for Life' is playing by Diddy
Dialogue:
- Crashing sounds.
- Maniacal laughter.

Shutter Island:
Dialogue:
The dialogue is very simple and the cast are not
Analyse:
- Dialogue
The dialogue is simple, the actors refrain from using long and complex sentences.
- Sound motif
- Music
The music in Shutter Island is intense and loud, this is used to create tension and suspension for the audience.
Classical music - piano/ violins. The classical music becomes more intense, this is to reflect when something bad happens or is about to happen.
- Sound effects
The film includes wind sounds when the protagonist is speaking to his dead wife. The wind noises are used to show that she is a just a figure of his imagination and will leave again soon.
The film also includes sound effects of guns, this is to shows the violence and horror the protagonist saw and/ or took part in.
* How does the overall soundtrack affect or enhance the narrative for the audience?
Foley Sound Effects:
- The sounds that are artificially made in a studio that seem realistic. The objective of Foley recording is to produce controlled sound effects in a regulated studio.
- They are created in a specially designed studio known as a Foley Studio.
- It is acoustically dry not only because, as with dialogue rerecording ambiences are usually added later.
- They are usually produced in sync with the visuals. There is a picture shown on the screen to help them follow.
